LINE-UP CHANGES Buzfuz have parted company with drummer Martin Parker and will soon be looking for a new sticksperson. In addition Kate is taking a sabbatical until September while she finishes the rest of her course, although she’s still recording in the studio. ALBUM 4th album A Likely Story is slowly being worked on at One Cat in Brixton. Ian Button has been in to guest on drums. The first 4 mixes are at the MySpace page.
SINGLE Here Come The Popes Part 3 is next single. It needs a remix. A video is being discussed with a film director in Manchester.
GIGS Joe has two solo gigs coming up at the 12 Bar Club. At Blang supporting Thomas Truax on Feb 13th and at the Antifolk Fest on Feb 16th with The TV Personalities and lots more. See Gigs. He’ll be joined by a mystery guest musician. AND FINALLY Tom Robinson played Here Come The Popes Parts 2 and 3 on BBC Radio 6 a few weeks ago, describing it as ‘something a bit special’. Sgt Buzfuz are mentioned in this month’s Mojo (with Radiohead on cover) in a review of an album by Lupen Crook, who they are compared to.
